Breast Cancer Care

Over the last 36 years Breast Cancer Care have reached millions of people affected by breast cancer with our information and emotional and practical support. We are here for anyone affected by the disease whatever stage of their breast cancer journey they are at. Using our understanding of people’s experience of breast cancer and our clinical expertise, we have worked hard to ensure our unique services complement the medical care and support provided by the health service.

Take our unique peer support telephone service, which puts people in touch with one of our many trained volunteers who have had a personal experience of breast cancer themselves and so some insight into what the individual may be going through. They offer a much-needed opportunity for someone with the disease to talk openly about how they feel in a way they might find difficult with their loved ones for fear of upsetting them.

Or our website, reflecting the fast-changing ways that many people want to access support, which includes award-winning information, an ‘ask the nurse’ service and dedicated discussion forums and groups.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer in the UK with nearly 46,000 people diagnosed every year. As incidence rises, the need to increase the help Breast Cancer Care can give is more important now than ever before. Your support for our cause is vital to ensure we can continue to be there.

We are extremely grateful to Vanda Harvey for all her hard work organising this wonderful exhibition. We are delighted to be supported by such a passionate individual and hope you enjoy her work.

Vanda Harvey is pleased to donate a third of the proceeds of each work purchased at this exhibition and all proceeds from the screen print ‘Imperfect Symmetries’ to Breast Cancer Care.
